On Sunday 19 September Hockley Angling Club held a charity match to raise funds for aoifebubbles charity with eighteen anglers taking part in a trebles match. The winning treble were Dave Newman, Harry Newham and Frank Tolliday all who very kindly donated their prize money back to the charity. Many thanks for all those who took part in the match and those who donated raffle prizes for the match raffle. A separate raffle is being run at the club to be drawn at the end of September.
Thanks to the fishing tackle shop Outlaw Pro of Unit 4a, Guildprime Business Centre, Southend Rd, Billericay CM11 2PZ; who donated fishing goody bags for all the anglers taking part and also donated more fishing goodies,Shimano Reel and Tom Pickering's book 'Born to Win' for the club's raffle in aid of aoifebubbles charity.
I am very pleased to report that £480 was raised by the 18 anglers on the day.
The total amount raised will be posted at the end of September.

Due to Government Covid 19 restrictions there has been no Match Fishing since January 2021. The Club is pleased that this ban was able to be lifted on 29 March 2021.
